I have been at Crossroads Elementary since it opened in 1999. Prior to that, I worked at J.J. Hill Montessori for five years. I also taught in Agadir, Morocco, as a Peace Corps volunteer. The Montessori (hands-on) learning method coupled with the year round schedule at Crossroads is a wonderful combination for helping students learn, retain, and build upon their individual skills and concepts. After establishing coordination, concentration, independence, and order in the practical life and sensorial areas of the classroom, each child is able to enjoy learning through multi-sensory experiences in the language, math, science, and geography areas. Daily, I have the privilege of seeing "light bulbs" flash as discoveries are made by the children. Welcome to a "learning adventure" in Room 1214!
