There are so many wonderful opportunities to give back to our community that give students the chance to learn and make a difference through volunteering, leadership, and service!

Did you know that one survey found that out of the 94% of young people that said they want to help their communities and make the world a better place, only 51% have been given the opportunity to do so.  Our Students of Promise program offers many opportunities for students and their families to get involved in service learning activities.  By getting involved, you can develop the skills and the motivation needed to make a difference, positively affect your community, improve your sense of self worth, and have fun all at the same time!

Here at Crossroads, we feel that youth voice and youth action are an essential part of service learning.  Students are involved in every stage of our projects - brainstorming ideas, planning and completion of projects, and reflecting on past work.  Engaging young people as leaders accomplishes our task of educating as well as has a long-term impact on the community.
