Crossroads Elementary currently has two speech/language pathologists. We help students with a variety of communication difficulties. Many of our students need help learning to articulate speech sounds correctly. Other students have difficulty with speech fluency (stuttering) and are learning to use smooth, easy speech. Some students may need help learning to use their voices in a healthy way. Other students may have difficulty expressing their thoughts or understanding what they hear and/or read; we help these students to strengthen their expressive and receptive language skills. Depending on student need, we work with students individually, in small groups, or in various school settings, including the classroom. Our goal is to help our students become effective communicators in the classroom and community.
