Congratulations to Ms Martha! Ms Martha James, Crossroads Creative Movement Specialist, was awarded the Human Rights Educator of the Year Award from Education Minnesota during the 2006 annual delegate luncheon March 18. Education Minnesota is the local affiliate of the American Federation of Teachers. This award honors the work she has done through a Human Rights through the Arts program woven into our Intersession over the last several years. The work was supported through an arts grant from the University of Minnesota and Perpich Center for Fine Arts. The program brought artists into our schools to share with our students their stories.
